Chances are, if you have landed here you probably are.  A LifestyleMom knows that a wonderful life is hers to create.  She is not a martyr. She is busy creating her life, not making excuses or living life vicariously through her kids.  She strives to be an inspiration and wants her kids to see the possibilities of life in all that she is. A LifestyleMom knows that it is indeed possible to both love her family AND love her life.

Who is the mom behind LifestyleMom?

Dana Hilmer is the mother of three young boys and she has completely reinvented her career (and life!) since becoming a mom 9 years ago.  In her pre-kids life she was a marketing executive in the glitzy and stressful world of magazine publishing in NYC, serving in senior positions at Inc., SmartMoney and Child.  In her post-kids life she has traded in her cute outfits and subway commute for jeans and a barefoot stroll to her back bedroom/office in a beautiful little shoreline town in Connecticut.

As for job titles, Dana is the President of LifestyleMom, Inc., a media and marketing company dedicated to helping women create a family life and “me life” that they truly love. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of LifestyleMom.com and the host of The LifestyleMom Radio Café airing on LATalkRadio.com every Tuesday at 10:00 AM PST (1:00 PM EST). She is the author of Blindsided by a Diaper: Over 30 Men and Women Reveal How Parenthood Changes a Relationship (Random House, June 2007) and the co-creator of Blindsided by a Diaper – The Musical, currently in development. Dana has appeared on over a hundred radio and television programs across the country and she serves as a marketing consultant and media spokesperson for companies targeting moms.
