About the TBFT Campaign
Are you constantly multi-tasking? Does your do-list prohibit you from relaxing and being truly present with your partner and kids? Are your kids under too much pressure to perform? Are sports and homework taking over your weekends and vacations? Are you forgoing meals together and family nights because the schedule is just-too-crazy? Are you concerned that you’ll miss the boat, that this time with your kids will pass and you will not have enjoyed it fully? Do you simply want more time to enjoy the beautiful little family you created? If you answered yes to a handful of these questions then it’s time to…Take Back Family Time!
It’s a given that we parents could use a break, stress less and enjoy our family time more. What’s not so obvious is that kids wish we could chill more too. In fact, Dr. Ellen Galinsky, President of the Families and Work Institute, shared that an “Ask the Children” study reveals that kids most often wish their parents were less tired and less stressed. And it’s no secret that kids are also quite stressed. They are more scheduled, have less downtime, and have more pressure to “succeed” than we did as kids. The unfortunate end result is downtime, and family time, are taking a bit hit.
